Apply, properly and at volume

- Goal
- Send 30 or more real, tailored applications and track every single one.
- Roughly
- About two hours a session, repeated until 30 are sent. This is where people quit — usually around application fifteen.

Lessons
- Ten well-matched applications per sitting, as often as you can manage. Consistency beats intensity, but gaps of a week kill momentum. Log every one in the Application Tracker at the back of this plan.
- Open with their problem, not your resume. Mirror the language of the job post. Something like: "It sounds like you need someone to turn a messy inbox into a system — that's the work I do." Then one sentence on how you would approach their specific situation, one link to the relevant portfolio piece, and your availability.
- Short beats long. Generic templates get deleted. A message starting "Dear Sir/Ma'am, I am a hardworking and dedicated virtual assistant" is the single most common beginner mistake.
- Apply where the clients are, not where the competition is. Alongside the marketplaces, post your offer in groups for your niche client type — Shopify store owners, online coaches, real estate agents — rather than in VA groups full of other VAs.
- After 20 applications with no replies, change the opener and the profile headline before sending the next 20. Do not send the same thing 60 times and conclude the market is dead.
